Hong Kong is famous for shopping. Actually, there is nowhere in town to go to avoid the shops. Primary shopping areas are the Tsim Sha Tsui district in Kowloon and Nathan Road (the main street running north and south through the peninsula), but they are by no means the only shopping centers.

If you are a good bargain hunter, you will find good bargains in Hong Kong, especially in clothes and the newest electronic gadgets. However, if you are not a bargain hunter by nature, then you may not find Hong Kong to be a real shopper's paradise. Your best bet is to ask a Hong Kong local where they do their shopping; that is probably where you will get the best bargains.
