Chengdu Railroad Station is the key station
in the southwest area, more than 60 trains depart from Chengdu every day
taking more than 120 thousands of people to all the major cities in China.
Major rail lines include Chengyu Line to Chongqing city, Baocheng Line
to Baoji city, Chengkun Line to Kunming city and Chengda Line to Daxian
county. Neikun Line to Neijiang city
and Dawan Line from Dachuan city to Wan Zhou city is still under construction
and will join the rail network to make Chengdu the center of the rail
traffic.
Chengdu so far has been connected by rail to
all major scenic cities. No7/8 Express Train travels for around 32 hours
from Chengdu to Beijing (ETD10:20 ETA1830 2ed day); No Y217/218 Tour Train
takes around 10 hours to go from Chengdu to Chongqing(ETD2047 ETA0737),
the downstream Yangtze Cruise starting city; No Y227/228 Tour Train takes
around 7 hours to go from Chengdu to Yi Bing (ETD0937 ETA1718), a city
in the mid-leg of Yangtze River; No 191/194 Express Train goes for around
46 hours from Chengdu to Gaungzhou (ETD0907 ETA0702 3rd day).
